The April 2010 IPHDA V Show Buckle Series
will include V shows held in:

October 2009
-
November 2009
-
January 2010
-
February 2010
-
March 2010

To Qualify for the Championships:
Exhibitors must enter a minimum of 3 V shows in the series.

A rider may show more than one horse to qualify but can only show one horse in the finals for every 3 show and 3 entries.
- The Horse shown in the finals must have been shown in one of the qualifying shows
- If the rider qualifies 2 horses each horse will use their own percentages earned
- Each horse rider/ team showing in the finals will ride in the highest level they graduated to
- If a horse and rider have passed level 2 they will show in level 3
- If a horse and rider have not passed a level they will show in the highest level they have showed in.

Placing the Finals
Series High point Champions:
The exhibitors 3 highest percentage of possible scores during the series qualifying shows and their finals percentage of possible score will be used to determine the Series Champions.
Explanation of Percentage of Possible scores:

Each rider starts with a score of 70, each maneuver evaluation score is added or subtracted from 70 to achieve the final score for the performance.

Percentage of possible scores is based on the ability of the horse and rider team to master the requirements of the pattern they are performing.
- Secondary Level competitors receives benefit for only the guiding and transition scores performed with a 0 or better degree of difficulty.
Examples:

The pattern performed has a maximum possible score range of 12 points from 64 –76. The rider scores a 73, their percent of possible score is 75%
-
73-64 = 9 divided by the score range of 12 = 75

The pattern performed has a maximum possible score range of 16 points from 62 –78.The rider scores a 73, their percent of possible score is 68.75%
-
73-62 = 11 divided by the score range of 16 = 68.75%
- The secondary pattern has a maximum possible score from guiding and transitions of 14. The rider receives a plus evaluation with a 0 or better degree of difficulty score that total 8. Their percent of possible score will be 57%
Level Champions and Jack Pot Purse winners
- The score achieved in the finals will be used to determine the Level champions and the Jack pot purse winners
The finals will be judged by 3 judges, the total of all 3 judges scores will be used to place the classes .
A tie breaking judge will be named prior to judging and in case of a tie their score will determine the winner
Open Rider Finals Rules:
- Same as regular division finals rules
General Rules and Fee's:
The finals video tapes must be a new entry, i.e. the finals video can not be of a ride previously entered in a V show.
Finals entry fee will be $35
Finals Jack pot fee will be $40 (Jackpot fee will be optional but must be paid to qualify for purse money including added money)

High Point Awards
- Champion wins a Custom Made IPHDA Trophy Buckle
- this will be the first custom IPHDA buckle offered and it will be numbered as such)
- There must be at least 35 entries during the series in the category for the buckles to be awarded.
Any Category (Amateur or Open) not qualifying for the High Point Buckle due to lack of participation will qualify for the following awards based on participation:
- 20 or less series entries a High Point Vest will be awarded
- 20-34 series entries a High Point Jacket will be awarded
Additional Category awards will be based on participation
- 75 or more entries in the series and a reserve Championship Vest will be awarded
- 125 or more entries in the series and a reserve Championship Jacket will be awarded and a third place Finals Vest will be awarded
- 200 or more entries in the series and a Championship Jacket will be awarded and a Reserve Championship Jacket will be awarded and 3rd place through 10th will receive Top 10 Vest.
All High Point Awards can be exchanged for awards points. The amount of Award points offered for exchange will be determined by request.
Added Money
$1 from each Jack pot fee throughout the series will be added to the finals purse.
Level winners
IPHDA will award level winner awards based on participation

Under 200 V entries in the series, IPHDA will award 20 award points to each level winner
- 200- 400 V entries in the series, IPHDA will award 30 award points to each level winner and 10 award points to reserve
- 400 - 800 V entries in the series, IPHDA will award 40 award points to each level winner and 25 award points to reserve and 15 award points to 3rd
